Children of the Cold War

I grant you that nuclear weapons are a horrible thing.

And I grant you that dropping the bomb on Iran would cost millions of lives, and very probably a piece of our soul.

But you and I here in America know this already. We are all children of a Cold war that nearly ended the world. The lessons of nuclear aggression were plainly spelled out to us our entire childhood.

Iran doesn't have the benefit of our education. Iran only knows that to sit at the big boy's table, they have to have, the big boy's toys. They don't really know what it is they are getting into. So how do you spell it out for them?

How do you grant them the education that we had?

Is merely showing them the pictures at Hiroshima and Nagasaki sufficient?

Do we really get the point across when we tell them that we are 'displeased'?
