Or... How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Blog

I've been reading a blog by Nick Malik over at Microsoft's site for some time now. He talks about information systems architecture. It's a fascinating subject (no really, I promise), that I've been interested about since I first heard about it.

I would love dearly to delve deeper into this topic, but often times I find myself looking for 101 level information when he is clearly in 220. So today I stop by his site and find that he is providing a bit of practical application in the form of a piece of fiction (at least I assume it's fiction).

If you've ever wondered what sorts of things IT department's (especially the higher levels of IT management) think about or how we go about attacking problems, you should give this a read. They are quick little chapters, demonstrating the sorts of people and issues we handle.
